NEWSGROUPS

Think of Newsgroups as a Town Hall Meeting where everyone gets to speak their mind. Newsgroups are like an electronic version. You can enter any topic (Meeting) that you wish and read, reply, or create new post. There are about 30,000 groups about almost every topic you can imagine and the numbers of these groups are growing each day.
To use Newsgroups you must first have a software that will allow you to read and post. We provide MS Explorer which includes both mail and news software. You will be asked for the server name which is News.ArkansasUSA.com and then it is up to you to sort through the thousands of groups to locate the topics of interest to you.
Please be warned, some of you will find some very offensive material in some groups. America is an open society and as such you will find our "Freedom of Speech" and expression in many of these groups. If you find a group offensive, then don't go into that group.
We provide a unique News Service that allows users to read and post in News Groups using their Web Browser Software. The URL for this service is http://ArkansasUSA.com/cgi-bin/dnewsweb.exe
We use a special server that only request Newsgroups that our customers are interested in. If you request a group that is not on our server, you will receive a message informing you that it has been placed in the download queue. It will take about 15 minutes but your group will be downloaded and if you continue to use the group it will remain updated on our server. After 15 days of non use the group will be removed from our server until someone else asks for it.
